Mama told me they prepared the name "Salem" for their child. It happened that they had a baby girl for their eldest. Mama wanted to name me "April Love." If it were so, vintage diay kaayo unta ang tirada. Maayo nalang "Rejoice" ang nabutang--as it kept on ringing in their devos back then. Bunga gyud diay akong name sa devo! Thank you, Lord! =D =)
Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! Happy-happy happy-happy! Happy-happy-happy!
So here I am (listening to really-old songs) waiting for my 12:00 midnight ritual before my birthday starts--a long deep breath and thanksgiving to God! He is so faithful! =) =) =)
Gen and I hand danced on this song while we were seated facing the comp (bookings). Haha, this is the best of what we can do as far as dancing is concerned! #funnight
We checked our finances. And in the Lord we continue to enjoy and hope.
"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will
continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ
Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6"
Left the girls (at home)--they're busy making us really cute invites for the engagement party. These ones are surely sweet. Love the thought that they're having fun while working as they sang this loved track from a Brit girl band.
Thankful for the eagerlz [more than words can say]. =D
God desires a blameless, spotless bride for His Son. Somebody who is practically perfect. As I walk through this bridal season, I am humbled by the many realizations (revelations in Christianese! =D) God graciously unveils.
He knew that the Church, the Body of Christ as the Bride of Christ, walks in compromise many times, faltering even in the least details so He unconditionally gave His Son (Romans 5:8---while we were yet singles sinners, Christ died for us!) to wash us clean. It was the Father who paid for the ransom, it was the Son who paid for the beautiful white dress of the Bride, it is for her to keep it untainted until the time her Bridegroom returns. Then she can walk the aisle of grace, everyone amazed at her beauty, mesmerized by her perfection.
But by the grace of God
I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I
worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was
with me. 1Corinthians 15:10 NIV
I spent the whole morning doing the layout for the setup and detailing the tasks. Oh for the fun side of each left and right brain! Langga and I were messaging today... And I saw this vid in the previous entries of the thread, dated March I guess. She linked this among the vintage elements.
Sigh. Rascals in-love.
Thank you, Ms. Rizza Jean Rivera. So thoughtful of you. We need more time for business meetings and chitchat, of course.
I guess every Christian couple know this song and considers this as a wedding song. I remembered one tiring night last year when Gen called and he offered to hum a song to me on the phone. (Did you know we had to ask permission from mama/papa every phone call he makes? It wasn’t their rule. It was ours. We wanted our activities to be known by then. We’re 28 and 27 then and we had to have permitted calls! Weird noh? Pero lingaw. We love the peace in our hearts.)
I was tearful as I listened to the wordless tune. It was warming my heart. And I was thanking the Lord for giving me a true friend and lover in Genesis. I am endlessly thankful and only later did I realize that the humming was choked by the rain in the background. Choppy. Line was then disconnected.
I’ve been listening to the classic version of this song (see video below) since [when]. Really blown away now as I imagine the reception. Everyone beaming and having their moment of love, too. For that night will not just be about us, but also our friends and family. Rekindling love.
Hoping in love.
Hoping in Him Who Is Love. Either of the two, everyone must be privileged and has the right to love and be loved.
Surely, God’s love is beginning, process and end. All the rest are about [it] and perks to that which is Genuine and Lasting.
What is [much] today? I am flooded with Disney songs since morning. I am thinking of playing these songs during assembly (before ceremony), what do you think? =)
This is one of the medley of songs that we were singing while aboard the bus from Baguio to Manila (we were with BCC's church staff; he de-bus-ed at Pangasinan). It was a great time of worship (for we have a reason to).
Someone should sing this on the wedding. We are so laid back. and this is so-theme-song. Nyahaha.
